Class Descriptions

Infants to crawlers

In a mother and baby yoga class, new mothers will have a chance to either begin a yoga practice or to continue their pre-pregnancy yoga practice. Mothers are offered a challenging workout that will help them tone and stretch the postpartum body. Classes also offer a playful atmosphere in which mother and baby can strengthen their natural bond. These classes are open to new moms and their babies, until baby begins to crawl.

Ages 2, 3-4, Story time Yoga

These classes, offered for children ages two through four with their parent(s), offer a stimulating environment full of fun and bonding time. We use music, books, and props to keep your child engaged. Parents often find themselves having as much fun as the kids. By the way, grandparents also enjoy this experience as much as their little ones do!

Kids Yoga for Ages 5-7, 8-10, 11-13

Kids yoga classes build self-esteem, develop strong and flexible bodies internally and externally, as well as increase focus and attention. In a yoga class for kids, we learn about anatomy and environment and begin to explore the basics of yoga philosophy. Classes are open to children at all levels of development, including those with special needs. As the child grows both physically and developmentally, we go deeper with the poses and with the philosophy. Classes for the younger children (ages 5-7) are often noisy and active, whereas classes for pre-teens (8-13) are more “adult” in that they begin to lay a true foundation for an adult practice.

Family Yoga

Family yoga offers the whole family time to “play yoga” together. These classes are open to children ages five and up with their families.

Sports Yoga

These classes take the same approach as our pre-teen classes, with more of a focus on stretching, strengthening, and condition for athletic activities.
