PLEASE NOTE:

All children’s classes require class registration prior to participation in the first class. Please call ahead to give us your child’s name and class selection.

FALL SERIES 1 runs the week of Sept. 11 through the week of October 23. FALL SERIES 2 runs the week of Oct. 30 through the week of Dec. 11. One Make-up class will be honored per series

* World Fusion BellyDance for Mothers & Daughters
 (ages 10 to 110 ! )


Belly dance is a unifying community dance used for centuries to celebrate major life events. It is a dance that celebrates the diversity of all women and girls of all ages, sizes, shapes, origins and abilities. 

This 2 hour class is specifically designed to strengthen the bond between Mothers and Daughters, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, partners and friends. All are welcome! This  non competitive introduction  to this dance style uses controlled movement, mirroring techniques, percussion instruments and a variety of world and modern music.       

Students should eat something about an hour before class and wear comfortable (but not baggy) clothing. No jeans or restrictive clothing please! Bring a bottle of water, a towel, a light healthy snack and be ready to get creative, bond and have fun!!


* World Fusion Bellydance for Teens


(An ancient art with a modern vision.....)

Bellydance is a unifying community dance used for centuries to celebrate major life events. It is a dance for women and girls of all ages, sizes, shapes, origins and abilities. 

This class is designed to be an age appropriate, (ages 13-19)  non competitive introduction to this dance style. It will develop the students as unique individuals as well as a group, through controlled movement, improvisational techniques and a variety of world and modern music.       

Strong emphasis is placed on posture, self-control and image projection.  Students will be guided in body awareness, healthy self-expression & tasteful dress and adornment.

A student recital will be presented at the end of the Beginner II session.

About the Instructor:

Barbara Gini has many years varied experience working with women, children and teens of all ages and abilities.  In addition to being the mother of 3, (ages 21, 22 and 6,) she also hold certifications and conducts private and group classes in Mind Body Fitness, Sports Yoga, Yoga for Children & Teens, Stress Management and Weight & Lifestyle Management. She has been a student of Belly dance for 7 years and has been teaching it for 3 of those years.

He goal is to educate and motivate girls and women to place personal care & growth in front of mastery of technical skills; to challenge ourselves to always grow by learning and cultivating new ideas;  and to acknowledge, accept and embrace our similarities as well as our differences.
 

Mom & Daughters- $25 per hour class

Teens- $15 per hour class
